UT Mannose
Description
UT Mannose features the simple sugar d-mannose which occurs naturally in cranberries and pineapple. Tiny amounts of d-mannose are metabolized and the remainder is excreted via the urine. As it is flushed from the body, d-mannose coats E. coli so it no longer sticks to urinary tract walls and is washed away with normal urination. This helps to maintain a healthy environment for the urinary tract’s mucosal surface. Since d-mannose is absorbed in the upper gastro-intestinal tract, it does not affect friendly E. coli or other beneficial bacteria normally present in the colon.
